Al Tawheed Masjid has long stood as a cornerstone of the local Muslim community, offering a sacred space for worship, spiritual growth, and community engagement. Over the years, the number of worshipers attending the masjid has grown significantly, placing immense pressure on the existing facilities. During peak prayer times, particularly Jumu’ah (Friday) prayers and Ramadan, the masjid often reaches full capacity, leaving many worshipers to pray in overflow areas or even outside in unfavourable weather conditions. This has highlighted the urgent need to expand the masjid’s premises to better serve the growing congregation and ensure that all worshipers can pray comfortably and without disruption.

However, despite the clear need for additional space, the masjid’s management faces significant challenges due to local authority restrictions, which prevent any further extension of the existing building. These restrictions have left the management with limited options for increasing capacity through traditional means.
In response to this challenge, the management of Al Tawheed Masjid is now exploring the construction of a bespoke outbuilding within the masjid’s garden. This proposed structure would provide a thoughtfully designed, smaller prayer space that could accommodate additional worshipers, helping to ease congestion during busy periods.
The construction of this outbuilding represents a practical and innovative solution to the masjid’s capacity issues. Designed to blend harmoniously with the existing architecture and natural surroundings, the new facility would not only increase the overall capacity of the masjid but also enhance the spiritual atmosphere by providing a tranquil and dedicated space for worship. The management remains committed to ensuring that the new building complies with all local regulations while addressing the pressing need for additional space.
